Randy Rhoads is renowned for his heavy riffs and virtuostic lead guitar characterised by fast picking and legato passages, minor, diminished and chromatic scales and confident vibrato.
Being a student of classical guitar, Randy often integrated classical themes into his rock compositions crediting him as one of the pioneers of neoclassical rock and metal.
Today we will be exploring some of Randy Rhoads’ signature techniques with a lick in the key of D so plug in, tune up, crank that amp all the way up to 11 and let’s get started!
